MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma felicitated the cleanliness workers (Safai Karamcharis) of Ward No. 30 by presenting them the mementoes, face masks and gratitude letter in a programme organized by J&K BJP Additional Publicity Secretary Ayodhya Gupta at Talab Tillo.
J&K BJP Media Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra along with J&K BJP Executive Committee Member Parneesh Mahajan, District Vice-President Puneet Mahajan, Talab Tillo Mandal President Keshav Chopra, former District President BJP Mahila Morcha Veena Gupta, Bhubesh Sharma and Vikas Gupta were also present on the occasion.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while felicitating said that the Safai Karamcharis are working dedicatedly on the frontlines to disinfect and keep entire neighbourhoods protected from the Corona virus infection. While the Government is trying its best to provide protection equipment like masks and gloves, the demand for these critical supplies is very high and for this, we need as much help from public as well to continue providing protection equipment to the Safai Karamcharis, he said.
Jugal also said that in the present hour of crisis, much needed service is being provided by the Corona Warriors to us so that we all can remain safe at our homes. He also said that it is our duty to raise their morale and honour their services as they are contributing for our concern.
Ayodhya Gupta, said that Safai Karamcharis go from home to home to collect waste, they are more exposed to COVID-19 as they have to collect waste which could potentially include Biohazardous, contaminated articles like tissue paper, wipes and napkins. This makes it even more important to protect the Safai Karamcharis with protection equipment so they can keep our surroundings clean, disinfected, hygienic and safe for us.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, said that it is duty of everyone of us to contribute in any possible way, but at the same time, he insisted that the biggest contribution will be not to venture out of our homes unnecessarily. He simultaneously appealed to all for strictly adhering to the guidelines issued by the enforcement agencies to check the spread of Covid 19 (corona virus) infection.
